
Dr. Monica Moody Moore most recently served as Director, Corporate Engagement at the Executive Leadership Council (ELC) –a premier non-profit organization established nearly 40 years ago to support the leadership development needs of the corporate sector. At the ELC, Monica was responsible for bringing new partners to the ELC mission and supporting the leadership ambitions of existing partners to advance leadership capabilities.
Prior to the ELC, Monica served as the Managing Director, Higher Education at FranklinCovey – “a trusted global, leadership and performance management company committed to enabling greatness in people and organizations through the establishment of trust and inspire leadership strategy and execution. Monica is a seasoned administrator, business developer, connector-in-chief, and organizational change creator focused on institutional growth with more than 25 years of global experience producing results. Monica is a known collaborator in the States with an international network that spans parts of India, China, Africa and Latin America. Monica’s passionate commitment to “educating the margins” has driven her to create entrepreneurial endeavors and partnerships of note with entities such as INROADS (a career readiness program for under-represented students), Partnership for Public Service, U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Hospital and Healthcare Providers, Financial Services and Hospitality. Monica is also the founder of High Aspirations, LLC – an educational consulting practice.
Monica disrupted the MBA market with the launch of the Online MBA (OMBA) at the Questrom School of Business at Boston University where she served as Dean of the OMBA program and Assistant Dean within the College. The Online MBA (OMBA) at Boston University received great recognition and honor for disrupting the Business School market with an AACB-accredited, integrated curriculum offered “at-scale” to a global, mid-level manager market at an affordable price. Monica held sr. leadership positions at three known Business Schools: Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Babson College and finally Questrom School of Business. Monica’s work has always existed at the intersection of education, business, career-readiness, leadership, and marketing. The relationships formed through these experiences have created a strong foundation for partnership development and the formation of win/win relationships. Monica is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Links Incorporated, Jack & Jill of America (Associate), and serves on the Board of Directors at Bowie State University and the University of Pennsylvania (Graduate School of Education).
Monica holds a Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania where she earned distinction. Monica completed the Institute for Management & Leadership at Harvard University in 2010 and the Fundraising Institute at Dartmouth College. Monica is an alumni interviewer for undergraduate admissions at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn).
Monica holds an undergraduate degree (B.A.) in Communication Arts & Marketing from Salisbury University, and a master’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to completing the Ed.D., Monica also completed doctoral coursework in a PhD program at the University of Maryland in Education, Policy and Leadership (EDPL) in the College of Education. Monica is a greenbelt in Lean Six Sigma with certification from Villanova University. Monica lives in the Greater Washington, DC area.
